Slet Slonů, is in Czech, meaning Flight of Elephants, except that in Czech "slet" has a slight festive connotation; indicating a get together. I don't want to give this piece a literal meaning, but I wanted to write a poem to it. .

Slon si na Slet slizne slzy,

Umysli si, ze na mokro je prilis brzy,

A tak suse zavlni se,

Do pary, jenz dym smysli roztavi.

I didn't really know my grandmother too closely before she died in the spring of 2014, but I have heard stories. She was a circus athlete, a smoker, a sailor, a party-lover. These stories were told to me so vividly that they created beautiful images in my head.

The vibrant colors and lines make me think of a lightning. As if it's this one big bright shot, lit up by the lines in the darkness. It's a happy one :)
